007 Style

James Bond

The Barbican are marking 50 years of secret agent style, with an exhibition showcasing the behind-the-scenes story of the iconic James Bond brand.

Designing 007 will be a multi-sensory exploration of the costumes, production design, gadgets, props and special effects involved in the creation of the films. From 1962’s Dr No to 2012’s Skyfall, highlights of the exhibition include a whole host of gadgets and weaponry created for both 007 and the Bond villains, artwork for the sets and film storyboards, plus lavish costumes and accessories created by Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Tom Ford, Frida Giannini, Oscar de la Renta and Miuccia Prada.

The exhibition will totally transform The Barbican, and take the audience through a ‘making of’ journey of the legend that is Bond’s style.

Designing 007 runs from 9th July – 5th September. To book, or for more information, please visit barbican.org.uk/bond.
