Sunday evening was shining with stars on the 70th BAFTAs red carpet. Celebrating work of any nationality seen on British cinema screens, it was a night of talent, celebrities and couture, taking place at London’s Royal Albert Hall. We weren’t surprised by any of the big winners, most notably La La Land taking Best Film. I absolutely loved this movie, but I have to say I was disappointed to see that Ryan Gosling was not among the crowd… what a shame. Nevertheless, Emma Stone looked gorgeous in a Chanel two-piece made up of a midi dress and matching tailored trousers, as she also received the award for Best Actress.
Already having won a SAG award in the past couple weeks, Viola Davis glowed as she received Best Supporting Actress for her role in Fences. She was complimented by a beautiful blue, floor-length Jenny Packham gown. Her passion in her role in Fences can be seen in anything she’s in and we adore her!
Taking Best Actor, was Casey Affleck for his role in the broody Manchester by the Sea, and the handsome Dev Patel took Best Supporting Actor for Lion. Both well deserved!
You know it’s a big deal when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge grace the red carpet. Duchess Kate looked gorgeous as always in a black off-the-shoulder Alexander McQueen gown.
Black seemed to be a theme on the red carpet ,as other notable looks included, Nicole Kidman in Giorgio Armani, Emily Blunt in Alexander McQueen, and Felicity Jones in Dior.
