She is the actress, model and DJ who plays Stella Carlin in the newest Season of ‘Orange is the New Black’ and here’s why everyone is talking about her…

- Although you may have heard of her from Season 3 of ‘Orange is the New Black’ Ruby Rose’s big break was becoming a VJ for MTV back in 2007 when she competed against 2000 other applicants for the space.
- At the age of 16 her first modelling experience was in Girlfriend Model Search, a competition created by Girlfriend Magazine where she came in second place.
- She is the face of Maybelline New York in Australia and even inspired the creation of the brand’s line of ‘Color Tattoo’ products which were created to allow customers to channel her distinctive ink style.

- Her style is very monochrome based. To achieve some of her more casual fashion looks she mixes a snapback with a simple black or white t-shirt, using a statement necklace for a focal point. Her more formal looks often feature either a blazer or jacket and red tartan sometimes makes an appearance too.
- As for her makeup her bold eyebrows and flawless base are always elements. However she uses eye makeup to add drama to her look; often wearing bold eyeliner as she says she uses it as one of the ‘different ways you can express yourself’. The edgy makeup adds to her ethos that ‘it’s important to have your own style,’ allowing her to show her unique personality more.
- This Aussie is an animal lover; she has both a cat and a dog. She is also an animal rights activist, posing naked for a cover of Maxim Australia in support of PETA’s anti-fur campaign where the article included was titled ‘Ink not Mink’ with Ruby Rose pictured wearing nothing but her tattoos and some different wigs.
- In March 2014 she became engaged to Phoebe Dahl who is a designer and creator of Faircloth Supply, a charitable clothing line that gives a school uniform to a girl in Nepal for every piece of clothing sold. Oh, and she is also the granddaughter of famous children’s author Roald Dahl.

- She wrote, produced and starred in her début short film “Break Free” in July 2014, exploring society’s gender roles as she herself identifies as gender fluid which can be found on her YouTube channel.
- Her celebrity lookalike is Justin Bieber and the pair recently met in Vegas posting several Instagram pictures after they had exchanged multiple tweets before meeting.
