The iconic British brand of the sixties and seventies Ossie Clark, is back. Reinvented under the name Ossie Clark London, the brand will feature a mixture of new designs alongside a limited run of previously unreleased and remastered vintage pieces.
“Ossie Clark was one of the most influential and talented designers, not just in the UK but worldwide,” said the label’s creative director Nicholas Georgiou in a press release. “Ossie Clark London looks to the present and beyond, benefitting from modern materials and new printing techniques but still retaining the flavour of Ossie’s original designs.”
The new range will be a revival of the designer’s world-renowned prints, mixed with fluid silhouettes and asymmetric cuts popular now. There will also be plenty of the brand’s signature flowing sleeves, plunging necklines and beautiful use of draping.
The concessions will appear in 45 Debenhams stores across the UK from February 2013. The first collection will feature 95 items priced between £49 and £189, designed and curated by the label’s creative director, Nicholas Georgiou.
