Throughout his career David Bowie has undoubtedly had many a mind-blowing year and it seems 2013 is set to be yet another for the singer whose retrospective at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, launches later this month and long-awaited new album, The Next Day, is released early next week. And to celebrate, Bowie who “has worn a lot of Paul Smith throughout his career” has collaborated with the fashion designer, and friend, on an official album T-shirt. Created by, Jonathan Barnbrook, the Royal College of Arts-trained graphic designer who also created the cover art for Bowie’s 2002 Heathen album, the tee is inspired by Bowie’s Heroes album cover and features a small Paul Smith for David Bowie emblem.
It’s the first in a number of collaborations between David Bowie and Sir Paul Smith, which will be unveiled later this year, Bowie fans stay tuned.
