This week Paramount released the trailer for the new Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit movie starring Chris Pine, Keira Knightley, Kevin Costner and Kenneth Branagh who also directs. The story follows Ryan, an injured Marine, who has been recruited to work as a high-level analyst who is assigned to uncover a terrorist plot to collapse America’s economy. Things get complicated when Ryan’s love interest, played by our very own Knightley, discovers the nature of his employment and joins him on his mission.
The character of Jack Ryan, based on the books by Tom Clancy, has previously been taken on by the likes of Alex Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck. Chris Pine’s chance to make the role his own, comes in the first film not to be based on a Tom Clancy novel. View the trailer below.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is released in UK cinemas on Boxing Day, 26th December.
