WHY USE DEBENHAMS BEAUTY REWARDS CARD?

November 5, 2014

With the range of products that Debenhams offer, from Aveda to St Tropez and Bobbi Brown of course we got very excited when we heard about their new beauty rewards card. You can gain three points to spend on your favourite products every time you spend £1  in the store plus if you are a beauty card holder you get free UK delivery. The other advantages of the card are that you can get free samples and even makeovers in stores when you show your card at the counter, which is enough to buy the card itself. On top of these rewards you get bonus points and competition opportunities that allow you to try new products that haven’t even hit the shelves yet, what more could you beauty addicts want?

As well as more well known brands there are some brands you might not know much about, so here are some of my absolute must-haves from the products you can find on the beauty shelves at Debenhams.

My favourites include; the Balance Me, cleanse and smooth face balm, Ole Henriksen, Nurture me soothing cream and the Origins, Modern friction facial scrub, see below so you know what to look out for.

Balance Me, Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm

Balance Me is one of my favourite ranges, all made in the UK and 100% natural. This is perfect for winter, use at night and massage this into a damp face, because it is an oil based cleanser it’s so nourishing and feels lovely on your skin. One of the ingredients is oat powder, this acts as a very gentle exfoliant and will help get rid of dead skin cells and leave skin looking so radiant. I LOVE this cleanser! £20 (125ml)

Ole Henriksen, Nurture Me Soothing Cream

I owned a beauty salon for 8 years and I was the first place in the UK where you could get an Ole Henriksen facial, so I know this range really well. There are some really clever products in the Ole Henriksen range, I was really pushed to try and find just one, as I love the Truth Serum and Lemon Strip Flash Peel too a LOT. But Nuture Me has been a firm favourite for years, it was one of the first products I used after my facial in their Spa in LA, it smells divine for a start, I want to eat it whenever I take off the lid. It’s like velvet on the skin, suits most skin types and is really nourishing without feeling greasy or heavy at all. Can be used night and day, but there is no SPF, so add that if you are using during the day. £41 (50ml)

Ole Henriksen.

Origins, Modern Friction Facial Scrub

When it comes to scrubbing off dead skin cells, this is about the best exfoliant on the market, it remains the one I always go back to after I’ve tried everything else that gets sent in. Essentially this is more of a dermabrasion treatment for your skin, so much more thorough than a regular scrub. Depending on your skin type, ideally this is a really good weekly polish to keep your skin looking smooth and helps all your other products more effectively. You use this on a dry face and rub over face for a few minutes, you may need to add a bit of water as it’s like a thick paste, concentrate on your areas with open pores to get rid of nasty pollution and dirt that has settled on your face. Spend a bit of time, longer than usual on massaging over your face, this is an at-home dermabrasion treatment remember > you will really see great results. It’s a beauty insider’s fave, give it a go! £19-33

My last two products I urge you to try are the Sisley Radiant Glow Express Mask, well this pretty much tells you exactly what it does by the name. This is the perfect mask to use if your skin is looking tired and you have to go out and look awake. It works in 5 minutes and transforms your skin from grey to glow, with its red clay, rosemary and chamomile ingredients you will be amazed at the difference this mask makes to your skin. A party season essential! £73 (not cheap, but a little goes a long way)

Lastly Khiels, Creme de Corps body lotion; this is just the perfect every day moisturiser to use all over post shower, pre-going out or just whenever your skin needs a moisture fix. Enriched with jojoba, sesame and olive fruit it leaves your skin feeling super soft, absorbs quickly so you can dress quickly if you are in a hurry and smells fresh and clean. Another product I have used for years and always go back to.

There is a special Facebook page, Debenhams Beauty Club for those with a beauty card and a Twitter account, @Debenhamsbeauty that with keep you updated  with all the latest Debenhams beauty news.
