#GOODINTENTIONS: THE RECYCLED CANDLE CO

I’m a candle addict. I hold my hands up. Totally guilty! I probably have far too many. They stand prettily on my desk, my dressing table, any side table space there is going spare.

There’s something so endlessly romantic about candle light. It brings people together in a closeness and warmth that is lost in the daylight, whether you’re sitting across from a pair of eyes you know and love, or swaying to carols in front of a Christmas tree amidst bustling crowds.

I’m not a winter girl by any means, but snuggling up on a winter’s night beneath a swathe of cashmere, in a room lit by richly scented candles does rank fairly highly on my list of ideal evenings.

So it’s time to introduce you to my new obsession. The Recycled Candle Company. A Brit-born company, their candles are not only beautiful and handsomely crafted, but the ethos behind the brand is equally as striking. The company work with restaurants, pubs, bars and other such candle-stockers, to re-use and give life back to any leftover wax that may otherwise be discarded. (If you’re a green guy or gal that wants to dispose of wax in an eco-friendly way get in touch!)

Founder Richard Hills-Ingyon could once be found as a young boy, turning his family’s old candle wax, into his own new creations. When he grew to realise the impact the same process on a grander scale could make to the environment, he set about forming The Recycled Candle Company. His inspired designs are constantly developing.

Visit TheRecycledCandleCompany.co.uk to find out more. Candles with a conscience. We’re in love with the fairytale-esque Christmas Tree Gift Set (£12.50), and the Pillar Candles (£15.00) are just begging to adorn our fireplaces!

Oh and psst! We’ve had a sneak peak of a fairly stunning lavender edition, stay tuned!
