Owen Wilson, Pierce Brosnan and Lake Bell star in a new intense action-thriller No Escape – which hit the big screen in September 2015.
We’re used to Owen Wilson playing the goofy, lovable character in some of the best comedies we know, so you’ll be surprised to see him playing his most diverse role yet; as he steps out of his family-friendly comedy comfort zone and into action and thriller territory….

No Escape tells the story of Jack (Wilson), an American man who finds work in Southeast Asia and decides to relocate his family. From the start, there are problems. The streets are strangely quiet, and tension fills the air. When he sees rebels executing foreigners, he and his family (helped by Pierce Brosnan) try to find the nearest American embassy in order to escape.
Full of drama, packed with trepidation, and definitely not Wilson as you’ve ever seen him before.
The story develops when Jack (Wilson) finds work in Southeast Asia and decides to relocates his wife Annie and kids. Within a matter of hours after arrival, the streets are strangely quiet, the city is in distress with the eruption of a violent political dispute, and tension fills the air. The family are forced to flee in search of safety as rebels viciously attack, executing all foreigners.
Eventually they gain an ally Hammond (Brosnan) who aids them in their struggle for survival and quest to safety.
