Yves Saint Laurent once said, “Fashion fades, style is eternal.”

Yves Saint Laurent, the pinnacle of the fashion world for over 50 years, has finally reached the time for an exhibition in northern England. The exhibition titled ‘Style is Eternal’ is the UK’s first major showcase of his work which will be at The Bowes Museum in County Durham 11 July to 25 October.

The Algerian-born French designer’s collection comprises of 5,000 outfits, 2,000 pairs of shoes, around 10,000 pieces of jewelry and a number of hats. Majority of his collection is preserved at the Fondation Pierre Berge-Yves Saint Laurent in Paris. 50 of St. Laurent’s key outfits are featured in the exhibition.

The Bowes Museum is located in the market town of Barnard Castle, County Durham in North East England, just off the A66. The museum is open daily from 10:00 – 5:00. Buy tickets for the exhibition from the museum’s website.
