November’s issue of Wired Magazine is bringing our attention to important current matters circling the media and film world; and they have dedicated next months issue to equality and the future.
The magazine has been guest edited by tennis champion Serena Williams; who is the perfect candidate to put forward her views. As well as being an incredible athlete and role model; she’s been a leader in the fight for equal representation and pay in her sport as well as being a passionate advocate for giving girls in Africa equal access to education as boys.

The issue addresses “Race, Gender and Equality in the Digital Age” and also includes contributions from rapper Common, activist DeRay Mckesson, retired tennis star Billie Jean King and more.
Williams has an essay in the November issue, in which she writes, “I’m a black woman, and I am in a sport that wasn’t really meant for black people. I want young people to look at the trailblazers that we have assembled [in this issue] and be inspired.”
