Don Cheadle’s directorial debut, Miles Ahead, is based on the turbulent life of the famous jazz trumpeter Miles Davis. Written, directed and starring as the recording artist himself, Don Cheadle stars alongside Ewan McGregor who plays Rolling Stone reporter who just wants an exclusive interview with the jazz legend himself…
But what he gets instead is a wild and dangerous ride-along with Davis who is living completely on the edge of life, involving shootouts, car chases and a tale of lost love to the singer Frances (Emayatzy Corinealdi).
Inspired by events in Miles Davis’ life, Cheadle brings together the spirit of the late jazz star both in front and behind the camera.
