Nothing says Paris Fashion Week more than Chanel. From the classic tweed jackets, to Anna Wintour in the front row, to the top models strutting down the catwalk, Fashion Week in Paris hasn’t really ‘arrived’ until Karl Lagerfeld makes his mark. This Fall/Winter Ready To Wear collection had a very wide range that included Chanel’s trademark jackets and patterns, voluminous coats, edgy hats and even bright colored ensembles for fall! Check out some of our favorite parts of the show:

From New York to London, to Milan and now Paris, deep reds have been THE color trend for this upcoming fall. Karl of course put the classic Chanel twist to his collection by making a gorgeous red, black, and white check pattern seen throughout the collection. Jackets were the focal point, as you can see with the beautiful wrap jacket seen in the center. All these outfits are #fallstylegoals.

The ‘frow’ or ‘front row’ of Chanel provided the heavy hitters of fashion as it normally does. Jada Pinkett Smith attending the show with her daughter Willow, who many have speculated will be Karl Lagerfeld’s newest muse. Some of the edgier names in fashion like musicians Halsey and Pharrell Williams fit right in within the fashionistas. Anna Wintour was of course in in attendance, sunglasses and all, sitting next to Chanel’s child model Hudson Kroenig who was sitting this one out.

The theme of the show was ‘Front Row Only’, with each seat being part of the front row at least for one portion of the show. This theme is so classically Parisian and fashion industry targeted with the idea that only the front row is “in the game”, however this layout somehow evens they playing field between everyone that attends. Although you get less admiring time of each piece, this innovative way to display a collection is sure to be copied by other designer in the future.

Deliciously full coats that we can literally feel the warmth through the screen experimented with volume and shape while keeping to a neutral palette. From long flared trenches to cinched pea coats and other voluminous long jackets, Chanel’s Fall/Winter jackets weren’t too aggressive with colors, but that’s not needed when the pieces are that gorgeous. Classic blacks, navys, tans, and creams warmed up the collection and the coats within it and we can’t wait to incorporate these colors and styles into our winter wardrobes.

Backstage is always a crazy place to be during any fashion show, yet Gigi Hadid looks cool, calm, and collected as she prepares to step forward onto the Chanel runway in Paris’ Grand Palais.

The detailing of Chanel’s F/W 2016 was absolutely to die for. Starting off each piece with the classic Parisian color scheme of black and white, gold accents and babydoll ruffles along with pearls and leather are such decadent Chanel touches that add sophistication and flare to the collection. We loved the braided waist accents that you can see on the side two ensembles, which add a little edge to these feminine outfits.

Bright colors for fall? If Chanel says it’s okay, then we are in! From bright pink to baby pink, to a vibrant red and denim blue, Chanel brought new meaning to what a fall color palette is and we are all in. Lovely jackets, tweed textures, and a perfect amount of layering made these looks warm enough for winter but still lively and exciting. Do you think you’ll be sticking to dark colors for fall or taking a cue from Karl and going bright this autumnal season?
