From red carpets to court side at basketball games, celebrities have been rocking the lace up front trend on anything and everything that they wear. Model and soon to be fashion icon Kendall Jenner is at the forefront of this trend, where just this past weekend she rocked a killer lace up dress and heel combo that literally took a team to put together. Although we are all not blessed with those supermodel legs of hers, that doesn’t mean we can’t hop onboard this amazing trend. We put together some of the best lace up pieces for every occasion, no runway required!
Tops

Stripes and spring seem to go hand in hand for us, so we love this long sleeve body suit from Cotton Candy LA to tuck into a pair of high-waisted jeans or a mini skirt. Peasant tops always go back in style come festival season, and this year is no different. This easy, breezy option to the lace up trend from Joie gives us serious hippy vibes, right on. Want to travel further south with your style? We love a good safari top like this one from H&M, complete with flowing sleeves and large pockets that add an ease to any look you put this top with. As for a warm, short sleeve option, our favorite is this gorgeous burnt orange short sleeve piece from Topshop, a neutral color perfect for spring and able to pair with just about anything. Coachella already have you excited for warm summer days and outdoor concerts? Festival styles will be sure to welcome the lace up front trend, and we love Glamorous brand’s black suede lace up body suit.
Dresses

Lace up front dresses are another way to bring in this trend for the spring summer season, and provide great versatility to dress the looks up or down. The first sleek black dress comes from the trendsetter Kendall Jenner herself, with this short sleeve safari dress from the Kendall + Kylie collection. Going more of a Kylie route? This culotte jumpsuit in a color fit for a Kylie Lip Kit from Missguided combines multiple trend of trends of the moment for a fun and flirty ensemble. Spice up your next garden party in this sophisticated yet sexy crepe midi from Jonathan Simkhai, that offers a more structured option for the lace up look. If pastels and spring are inseparable for you, we still have you covered. Karina Grimaldi gave us the ultimate beach look with her floral mini dress with, of course, a lace up front detail. Last but not least, any bohemian of the 21st century would be a fan of WYLDR‘s lace up bell sleeve mini dress, perfect to pop on for a spring day out.
Shoes

Queen of cool Kendall Jenner has been the pioneer of extravagantly laced up heels, and we have been anxious to see how we could interpret this trend for ourselves without looking foolish. Well, we finally found some killer options that will have you feeling supermodel chic. For the closest match to having a full on model moment, we found these knee high lace up heels from Public Desire. Going boho for the springtime? We are obsessed with these suede flats from Stuart Weitzman for a free spirited look. If you want to be chic but aren’t willing to kill your feet in heels, we recommend the shoe experts Aquazzura to hook you up with luxe leather flats with a sleek gold mini heel. Let’s not forget the classic tie up pumps, our faves are from ASOS, that can dress up just about any outfit.
So whether its stepping out in some in a springy lace up sundress, or going full Kendall in lace up thigh highs, we fully suggest trying out this spring trend for yourselves. After all, the worst that could happen is you could be mistaken for a model, right?
