Update: Supermodel Jessica Stam leads the way for creative expression by creating doodles on her Samsung GALAXY Note II in her downtime during fashion week.
“Being a model is exciting and I love working with amazing designers. During Fashion Week there’s a lot of waiting around and I need something to keep me entertained. Since I learnt to doodle on my Samsung Galaxy Note II I’ve become addicted, it’s the perfect way to kill time and it’s very easy to create fun sketches. I use it mostly backstage when I’m getting my hair and make-up done.”
Renowned for his lower-east side NYC-cool styling sensibility, fashion designer Alexander Wang shot to fame back in 2008 after winning the covetable CFDa/ Vogue Fashion Fund. He has since pushed the boundaries of wearable and edgy, street-inspired fashion, making him the perfect partner for Samsung’s latest collaboration which sees the designer create a limited edition bag using the Samsung GALAXY Note II.
Having recruited a group of friends, stylists, photographers, models and muses to create “doodles” on their GALAXY Note II devices, Wang has curated the images, patterns and photos into one collectively-inspired print which has been used to make the limited edition bag – set to be sold around the world to raise funds for Art Start – a charity using the arts to nurture the creativity and talents of at-risk children and youth.
As a teaser to the final prints and limited edition bag we take a peek into a day in the life of Alexander Wang in association with Samsung,
