Today marks the one year anniversary of the passing of iconic music artist, Amy Winehouse, but her legacy lives on through her music and continues to capture the hearts of thousands all over the globe.
As with several other artists, Amy’s influence came sharply into focus in the months following her passing. The sales of Amy’s albums and individual tracks skyrocketed shortly afterwards and some of the biggest artists in the music industry honored the impact her talent had on the music industry.
“Amy changed pop music forever. I remembered knowing there was hope and feeling not alone because of her,” Lady Gaga tweeted. “She lived jazz, she lived the blues.”
We are celebrating Amy Winehouse’s life today and remembering the happy times of her life. She was a once-in-a-lifetime talent and although she is no longer with us, her musical legacy and lyrics will impact listeners and fans for years to come.

The singer-songwriter released the critically acclaimed Back to Black album 3 years later, in 2006. The much-loved album, went on to win five Grammy awards, including Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year for her hit single “Rehab.”
