The iconic brand Coach has teamed up with designer Anna Sui to create a limited edition two-piece collection. Coach commissioned the designer to revive their 1972 duffle bag, telling her to be “as Anna Sui as possible”, which according to Anna Sui is “why we brought in the art nouveau and the hippie feeling”.
The collaboration features the Legacy Anna Sui Dragonfly Large Duffle and the Legacy Anna Sui Fleur de Lis Large Duffle both of which first debuted at the designer’s Fall 2012 runway show. The Dragonfly Duffle is black leather and adorned with an ornate dragonfly motif, contrast turquoise stitching, and a floral lining. It is currently priced at $798 on Coach’s website, approximately £502.
The Fleur de Lis Large Duffle in vegetable-tanned medium brown leather, is hippie chic with hand-tooled and hand-knotted detailing and retails at $1000, approximately £630. Both bags are embellished with brass hardware, a signature Coach hangtag, tassels, and a removable interior wristlet.
