Aveda introduce new overnight wedding Masque Tulasara.
Aveda’s wedding day face mask comes in a luxurious mint green pot. A little pot of wonderfulness by the sounds of it because Aveda promise glowy, luminous wedding day skin all year-round.
The natural brand have combined the art and science of pure flower and plant essences to help you wake up to ‘wedding-day skin’ every day. The face and eye masks work overnight, while you’re resting, to help brighten and firm the skin for the following morning.

The inspiration for this promising little face pot comes from India, Hindu weddings in particular. Aveda have adopted the concept of Haldi – a beauty ritual from the ancient wellness art of India.
The mask itself is a mixture of turmeric or Haldi (meaning turmerik in Sanskrit), chickpea powered and rose water. The paste is then used during the pre-wedding ceremony where family members who are already married spread the paste onto the face, hands, arms, legs and feet of the bride and groom, the day before the wedding for good luck. Turmeric is also known to be a great skin brightener, so this helps the bride and groom look their best on the big day.
Aveda have taken this and put their own little spin on it using the traditional Haldi ingredients and adding a few Aveda touches: turmeric root, plan stem cells and organic apricot seed oil. They’ve also added jasmine, chamomile and grapefruit oils to the formula which they say helps to balance the skin, mind and spirit.
Aveda’s tips on how to use:
1. Begin with three deep, cleansing breaths.
2. Using ring finger, apply the eye wedding mask around the eye area in circular movements following the direction of the brows.
3. Then, apply the wedding face mask to fingertip and inhale aroma.
4. Sweep onto skin, starting at the decollete, moving up the neck, face and across the forehead in upward and outward movements.
5. Go to sleep.
6. Wake up to luminous, wedding-day skin and eyes.
