It’s Award Season!

It’s that time year again. Award season kicks into gear this month; with a host of ceremonies and all our favourite A-listers will be hitting the red carpet and have us transfixed by the labels, make up and hair, can’t wait for that bit.

Firstly we have The Golden Globes, which is this Sunday 10th January. Comedian Ricky Gervais is returning to host the event for the fourth time, after Tina Fey and Amy Poehler did a brilliant job since 2012. Although he vowed never to do it again after his controversial speech in ’12, Ricky is already gathering material for the 73rd ceremony and is even asking for inspiration for material from his Twitter followers… Actor Mel Gibson will also return to the Golden Globes stage on Sunday to present an award.

The BAFTA’s will take place on 14th February, soon followed by the Oscars on 28th February…

We will have to wait to see who will reign in the film, fashion and beauty stakes, but it is clear to see that there are already some serious contenders making their mark already. Our remote is ready for E! Red Carpet shows…

Here are the predictions according to The Hollywood Reporter for the front runners in the top categories, we are agreeing with most of them and it’s great to see some brilliant Brit talent in the line ups for best and supporting actors.
