We’re under no illusion that it’s the Victoria’s Secret models’ bodies that hold centre stage at the annual Fashion Show. And yet we can’t help but wonder at their luscious glossy locks and gorgeously glowing skin (well, they are angels after all). So we took a bit of sneak peek backstage via Instagram at the likes of seasoned angels Karlie Kloss, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr and Adriana Lima.
Hairstylist Orlando Pita, a regular backstage on the fashion season circuit, explained that the look for the Angels’ hair this year was “a little more undone. It’s beachy looking but doesn’t have the dryness of the beach”. Hair appeared to be blowdried, tonged, clipped up or set in velcro rollers to cool before being brushed out to give a voluminous, wavy look.
As for the make up, lead make up artist Tom Peceux said, “The girls have a glowy, healthy look this year. It’s all about how every woman would like to look and then we upgrade it for the Angels with black mascara on the upper lashes and brown on the lower lashes, berry and pink sheer lips.”
Ahh if only a touch of make up and a good blow dry could have us in such angelic condition.
