We’re heading behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week AW15 again to get the latest on trends, new products and techniques. See what’s going on at the likes of Carolina Herrera, Badgley Mishka, Dennis Basso and Rodarte AW15 shows this season.

Lauren Andersen, Avon‘s global celebrity make up artist was in charge of the beauty look for the Dennis Basso AW15 show this season. In her own wise words, ‘This look is all about classic 70’s glamour. it is inspired by the rich colour and luxurious decadence of the collection’.
For the eye look use Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quad in Mocha Latte shade #2 on the eyelids and in the crease to extend the outer corner of the eyes, and apply the lighter shades to the inner corner of the eyes and the brow bone. Next apply Avon Glimmerstick Eye Liner in Cosmic Brown to the lower lash line and outer corners of the upper lash line.
Apply Avon Super Extend Winged Out Mascara in Blackest Black to lashes to finish, maybe adding a few individual false lashes at the outer corners to create even more impact.
The berry-bite lip look was created using Avon Ultra Colour Indulgence Lipstick in Rose Bouquet, with Avon Ultra Glazewear LipGloss in Clear to add shine.

NARS created the look for the Rodarte AW15 runway show, and make up artist James Kaliardos was at the helm of the beauty ship. It was one of the most eye-catching looks we’ve seen so far. A lower lash lined with Swarovski crystals will do that. According the Kaliardos, ‘The Fall/Winter 2015 makeup is inspired by the idea of a delicate, refined beauty. The Swarovski crystal effect on the eye adds depth and shine to the lower lash and the glossy lip reflects the light’. To get that glowing complexion, the team used NARSskin Luminous Moisture Cream (£43.00) and NARSskin Total Replenishing Eye Cream (£38.00) to prep, before applying NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation (£32.00) together with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (£22.00).

The inspiration behind the Badgley Mishka AW15 collection were the ornate, gilded textures and colours of 1940s glamour and the sultriness of Rita Hayworth. Peter Gray for Moroccanoil created the backcombed hair look for the show. He was inspired by the concept of the Badgley Mishka AW15 collection, but the tousled do was more sexy walk of shame (or ‘stride of pride’ as he said) than primped and preened 40s icon. He styled a loose and textured twist with a sexy edge, finished with a gilded rose.

It was all about sparkles and a statement lip at Carolina Herrera AW15. Diane Kendal was in charge of the beauty team, and described the overall look, and the girls wearing it as ‘water sirens’. The team applied 33 Lash lashes, which had been tipped with Duo Adhesive (£10.00) before MAC Pro Silver Glitter (£17.00) was sprinkled over them. And the lips? O, Lady MAAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour (which is set to be available this autumn) was applied on its own for an opaque, sharp lip.
