New York Fashion Week has been buzzing despite the plummeting temperatures outside. The designs have been eye-catching, the FROWs star-spangled, and the beauty looks? Well take a look…

Models wore nails but butter LONDON colour ambassador Katie Hughes in the Nicole Miller AW15 show. The look was influenced by the idea of a dark and mythical forest. Deep jewel tones were used for a deep, and misty effect. The team kicked things off with one coat of butter LONDON Gel Base Coat (from butter LONDON Top & Tails £25.00) before applying a coat of butter LONDON Union Jack Black (£12.00) to add depth and richness to the shade going over. butter LONDON British Racing Green (£12.00) was slicked over the top and it was all finished off with the butter LONDON Patent Gel Top Coat (from butter LONDON Top & Tails £25.00) to add high shine to the nail.

Of the look for her AW15 collection, Diane von Furstenberg said ‘Our girl wants to look elegant and dressed up but she doesn’t want to look too fussy or prim and proper. We’ve worked with Orlando for many seasons and we always aim to keep our models’ personality shining through in their look so that we don’t lose her sense of fun out on the runway’.
Orlando Pita is the hair stylist for TRESemme tasked with creating the look Diane is after. He said ‘We wanted the hair to be chic but still feel very undone and easy at the same time. I like this return to very simple, soft looks we are seeing this season that don’t look over polished or styled. We used our fingers and a wide tooth comb to really break up the hair so that even though it pulls back to a beautiful low bun it still feels very lied in and has a little attitude’.

NARS created the look for the Rachel Comey AW’15 runway show. Make up artist Maud Laceppe was in charge of the look, which was described this season as ‘a dewy, almost wet look. A fresh and effortless girl, but still sexy’. Skin was prepped with NARSskin Luminour Moisture Cream (£41.00) before NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisture (£28.00) was applied with NARS Soft Velvet Loose Powder (£26.50) and the NARS Copacabana Multiple (£29.00) to contour. NARS Contour Blush (£30.00) was applied together with the NARS Tribulation Blush, which you’ll be able to get your hands on in AW15.

The NARS Copacabana Multiple was used again for the eyes, tying the look together, with the NARS Reykjavik Shadow Stick (£20.00). Lips were kept simple with NARS Chelsea Girls Lip Gloss which will form part of the NARS AW15 collection later this year. If you’re dying to finish of the look yourself with something similar, try the NARS Chihuahua Lip Gloss (£19.00).
