Ever since my last visit to bareMinerals I’d been craving the rose gold compact called The True Romantic (£29.00). These are colours that I would never normally try – a white ice blue highlighter, an all over eye shade in peach and another in gold, and a brown/grey colour to go smoky.
It’s the peach that I would never have considered and it’s the peach that makes the eyes pop.
Inside the bareMinerals box is an instruction guide to a couple of looks, one, called Flirt Alert, is particularly arresting.

The shadow itself is smooth, silky and easy to apply. I also love the bareMinerals Prime Time BB Primer Cream Daily Defence SPF 30 (£23.00).
I have never been a fan of a cream that is supposed to do many things but this is a beautifully textured formula that sweeps over the complexion and primes the skin for foundation application. It makes everything smooth and diminishes any dark or red spots. What is really beautiful about it is the texture. It feels like silk and evens out skin beautifully. At the same time the SPF30 is a good enough sun protection factor for you not to have to apply anything else.
bareMinerals are really good at giving you a fresh and rested look. The primer evens out the texture and tone of every other bit of makeup you put on, perfecting and revitalising. It is a holiday in a bottle.
