Who doesn’t love a product that can do more than one thing? There are so many innovative products out there – and here are just a few we have recently come to discover, and think they’re a real treat. Save some space in your makeup bag and also some pennies with these marvelous multi tasking products..
BB CREAMS
Recently Krista enlightened us on her favourite BB Creams, and they really are hero products to get more than one thing done at once. They act as skincare in terms of moisturisation, act as foundation/cover with their tint, act as protection with their SPF properties, and also can be used as a primer. Phew.
Here’s our selection of the best BB creams we put together for you to try out for yourself.
BAREMINERALS Blemish Remedy Foundation
Ok – so this one isn’t out just yet but it is definitely worth checking out once it is released to us in September. BareMinerals are popular for their pure products. This powder has an innovative formula to help actually heal your blemishes whilst covering them at the same time, too. Amazing right? It’s always feels a little rubbish putting makeup on your spots, and it usually just aggravates it further, so what is a better way to cover a blemish then to get a little treatment on it too? There’s also a special mesh design in the pot to help prevent brush contamination from usage. Brilliant.

NARS Dual Intensity Blush, £30
As well as having two gorgeous shades in one – the NARS wet/dry formula is a completely new approach to blushers. So these can be applied wet, for a unique watercolour effect, or dry for a bold and beautiful colour. Francoise Nars himself has created these dual blushers so that creativity is unleashed unto all of us; and we can create the perfect blush by mixing the shades together for any occasion.. The possibilities are endless so get playing. Each set allows you to play with coverage as well as colour; and don’t worry, they are virtually foolproof as the colours have been selected to work with every skin tone; combined or on their own.
YSL Kiss & Blush, £28.50
Get gorgeous colour on your lips and cheeks with YSL‘s Kiss and Blush. There are many colours to choose from in their range, and actually, there’s something that really works about a successful matching lippy and cheek shade. It works because they blend out so sheer (as you can see above), so it works as a natural look; hint of healthy flush in the cheek and lips, or you can build it up for a bolder look, with their deeper colour range.
Inside these little pots lies a hybrid technology offering a colour diffusion complex and light intensified pigments. What this means is the pigments in Kiss & Blush are enhanced with micro-spheres to maximize the radiance, and it also contains a light-diffusing gel to enable the formula to blend easily and evenly diffuse light. This air-whipped formula gives a velvety, soft, satin yet radiant finish.. Fancy right?
PHYTO PhytoPlage Sublime After Sun Hair & Body Oil, £26.50
Phyto oil is a sumptuous elixir that revitalizes and nourishes both your hair and skin after you’ve been been exposed to the stresses, like the sun.. Infused with a unique botanical blend of oils that nourish and repair; it rehydrates, regenerates and revives the radiance of skin and hair. Nourishing and non-greasy, it sinks in to soothe sun soaked skin (and helps extend your tan) and gives a subtle glow on the skin once applied.
I had to put this lovely oil in this feature as I have personally been using this and apart from the fact that I love it on my skin and hair; it smells absolutely divine. It’s like subtle, summer, sweet, and just amazing.
For your hair it is nice massaged into the roots, I do it before I go to bed, but it can also be used as a pre-shampoo treatment. If you coat your hair in the oil, and leave to soak for 10 mins or more and then wash as normal.
