The Bobbi Brown Surf & Sand collection marks the first real presence of Kate Upton, the brand’s new poster girl, since the pretty blonde replaced Katie Holmes. The new range is said to be inspired by Bobbi Brown’s favourite holiday destination, and is made to give a subtle, sweet and sexy beach look in just a few simple steps.
The eye palettes are something else. The Sand Eye Palette (£48.00) had me at hello. Made up of browns, nude and tawny colours, with a sparkling flash of golds and shimmering minks, it’s summer lovin’ for dark eyes.
The Surf Eye Palette (£48.00) tackles the other end of the spectrum with icy ocean spray hues mixed with tan-popping pinks and pale golds.
New lip colours that veil lips with a sheer and shimmering blush also feature, as do long-wear eye pencils, and a gold-toned cream shadow stick.
The other standout product from the new collection, though, has to be the Brightening Blush (£34.00). Available in both bronze and pink shades, it’s a one-stop product for sun-kissed skin. They look like those soft scoop ice cream tubs that mixed chocolate, strawberry and vanilla, and are just as unfathomably delicious. As much wonderment can be enjoyed from looking at the blush as applying it.
I could carry on raving about this collection, but that would delay you checking it out for yourself now wouldn’t it?! The collection hits the beauty shelves in July so look sharp! Now excuse me whilst I go and gaze at the Brightening Blush some more.
