We joined Kiehl’s at their sparkling London symposium for their newest and most exciting innovation; Daily Reviving Concentrate, a facial oil which awakens and energizes your skin from morning till night.
Basically, ‘skin fatigue’ is measured by the appearance of the skin at the end of the day, or tired-looking skin – and it is a global beauty issue! While skin is dedicated to repair at nighttime, your skin is hard at work defending itself against attack by environmental aggressors and oxidative stress during the day. In other words – pollution, UVA/UVB radiation and poor air quality are constant factors coming in contact with your skin during the day, making the skin more susceptible to accelerated ageing and damage, ie. skin fatigue. The usual features include the appearance of dull, dehydrated, with slightly more pronounced fine lines an rough texture.
I know I definitely feel like a completely different person come evening time, when my skin is looking a bit knackered by the end of the day – so when we were introduced to this new innovative product, I was very excited to try it.
Kiehl’s chemists have developed Daily Reviving Concentrate with naturally derived ingredients, blending together both essential and botanical oils to help support your skin’s natural defense system during the daytime. This magical stuff has been tested and is proven to visibly enhance the skin throughout the day and over time, for an energized, awakened and radiant look.
Testers reported a 12.4% improvement in skin fatigue (dull, dehydrated, rough and tired-looking skin) in as little as just 8 hours after application.
This special formula is suitable for all skin types too – from dry, normal, to oily skin. I have oily skin myself, and wouldn’t usually consider an oil for the daytime (especially when I wear a lot of makeup that I do not want sliding off!) but it actually hasn’t affected my makeup/the amount of oil developing on my face at all. It sinks in – and my makeup has the same staying power. A little goes a long way so it is really worth the money – for oily skin, two or three drops is enough and massage in, and within a few minutes it has sunken in. It looks fresh so for non-makeup wearers it just radiances up your skin.
