MAC Cosmetics new Heirloom Mix is a must when gift shopping this season. Although be warned, you’ll want to keep it all for yourself!

Everything about this collection is rich and elaborate, from the twinkling sparkles added to the casing to the deep bold colours of the products.
There are Lipsticks (£17.00), Mini Pressed Pigments for eyes (£17.00), five new colours of Cremesheen Glass, as well as the ever present Fluidline, Mineralize Blushes, Kohl Power Eye Pencils, Eye Khols and Glitter.
The colour names are suitably decadent too. Dark Majesty, Gentrified, Richly Endowed, Modest Blush, Courting Chic, Noble Descent, Regal Affair, Prim & Proper, it’s like reading a gutsy bodice-ripping romp! And we love it.
The campaign images? Two beautiful girls gazing down at us from their thrones, eyes smoked up to the max, and huge cameos (the image that reoccurs throughout the collection) at their necks.
When it comes to gift sets, the collection is split into ‘Keepsakes’ abd ‘Objects of Affection’. In the ‘Keepsakes’ range there are lip and eye bags in three shades – red, nude and coral, three eye palettes, larger face palettes.
The ‘Objects of Affection’ range tackles a singly product type at a time, providing a collection of them in different colourways within the same cameo-adorned box, think nail lacquers and lip glosses.
Our favourites are the Keepsakes Brush Sets. When it comes to professional quality brushes, they’re a fab price point at £42.00, and they look darned pretty too. There’s the Mineralize Brush Kit, the Studio Brush Kit and In Extra Dimension Brush Kit. Each type will be useful to any makeup loving girl, but if you know that you or a luck present receiver is particularly partial to a certain line within the vast range of MAC Cosmetics, you can choose accordingly.
