Finding a good eye cream is very challenging, which is why I have so many half used pots and potions. I think they are nice and then they become tired, just like the eyes themselves. Is it just me or does an eye cream work when you first sample it – by work I mean decrease eye bags, dark circles and plump out fine lines – and then by the time you’ve had it at home for a few days it does none of those things?

I was pretty pleased with QMS`s anti-aging eye cream, QMS Medicosmetics Cellular Alpine Eye Care (£100.00). It has a silky texture and absorbs into the skin effortlessly. But then I tried their new QMS Medicosmetics Advanced Intensive Eye Care (£103.00). It is a richer cream and brilliantly hydrating but just as easily absorbed. It has natural firming extracts that are teamed with intensely moisturising ingredients that work together to rejuvenate the eye area.
What I have noticed is it is super effective in plumping out fine lines; the things that used to be called crow`s feet and discolouring dark circles. I have used it every morning for several weeks and witnessed a noticeable effect, and if I had used it in the evenings as well I am sure the effect could have been speeded up.

I am just back from a visit to the QMS flagship spa in Chelsea, where the fabulous Rowan has developed an insanely effective massage technique. She simply irons your face out with her hands. She showed me halfway through the left side my cheek was high, my jaw had an angle to it and my eyebrow arched high. On the other side, slack jaw and a low eyebrow.
Hmm. This is what I would look like if I had a stroke. I urged her to continue with the other side. She says people come in all the time to literally have years wiped off their faces. The technique is great if you have an event or a special occasion where you want to impress people.
You may not be able to have Rowan`s far reaching, clever fingers, but a pot of Advanced Intensive Eye Care certainly holds some magic.
