It all started when I realised the foundation I have been replacing my NARS Mount Blanc crème palette with was actually too orange.
I became aware of this but dreaded a trip to NARS as it is always too luring. So I popped into Larchmont Beauty Centre for what I thought would be a quick fix.
Ashlee who used to work for NARS now works there. In an instant she matched me up with my correct shade, Mont Blanc.
I could see my orange-ness offended her sense of aesthetic. She decided to play around with some eyes and lips and she did such an amazing job I wanted to buy everything she used.
First off she told me that the Shiseido primer which also has an SPF is the best primer on the market.
She put it onto my face and it swept over my cheeks like the finest silk. It is as if I was seeing my face through a silk stockinged lens. When she applied the foundation it crept into my skin with such a glow and so seamlessly it was like I had been given my face back. One with great skin!
The foundation did not just sit on my face; my face became the foundation. It gave me radiance even though I had been up all night. It gave me freshness and youthfulness even though I felt tired. It made everything smooth; pores were minimised and lines seemed to vanish.
I had an important meeting that night so I was glad for the refreshed face.
The meeting went well and I don’t put that down to my quirky conversation or clever ideas, I put it down to my face looking as if it had perfect skin. I agree; Shiseido Glow Enhancing Primer is the best primer I have ever tried. It costs $30. Worth it. Bad news is it’s currently only available in the US, but keep your eyes out, it’ll be over here soon.
