I don`t sleep. Sometimes because I am worried, sometimes because I am jetlagged, and sometimes because I am too tired. Rarely because I am too enthusiastic.
The non-sleeping thing was taking over my life. It is hard to make decisions; it is hard to get priorities in order if you go through life in a fog.
I am always reading about how sleep makes for better skin and a happier metabolism. Hours in sleep can give you years on your life.
Apparently Google sees 1.3 million searches about sleep issues every month and on an average day on Twitter we see over a 140,000 `can`t sleep` tweets.
I tried Melatonin. It gives me nightmares. I tried Ambien, but it makes me sleep eat. And ever since it killed Heath Ledger I decided it was a terrible idea. Then I tried This Works Deep Sleep Body Therapy (£20.00) and This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray (£16.00). I did not think it would work. I felt I was doomed to be channel surfing at 5am (yes I know they say you shouldn`t watch TV – but if I have any chance of sleeping it has to include TV).
This Works Deep Sleep Body Therapy smells fantastic. It has been created to deliver super hydration and unrivalled sleep benefits in the quickest possible ways. It is good for the face due to its potent essential oil, organic Aloe Vera, Vitamin B5 and comfrey root content and it helps restore moisture balance and deliver sleep. Of course it works best as a night ritual after a bath, but that is not essential.
I have also been spritzing the pillows with the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray because I was told 100 per cent of users would recommend it.
I think I would like to make that 101 per cent. It works brilliantly when I thought nothing would. The smell is the combination of lavender, wild chamomile and vetiver. It engulfs you and carries you off into another world. And I would not be without it.
