All we heard about last year was brows. They dominated the beauty trends for a couple of seasons, and made Cara Delevingne possibly the most in demand model in the world. Brow power was born. And they’re still at the fore of this season’s beauty trends. Last year brows were big, dark, and gutsy, whatever your complexion, whatever your hair colour.
This spring? They’re full, yes, sculptured, for the most part, but they’re altogether more natural.

For SS14 brows, make sure to comb out brow hairs so all lie in the right direction, teasing them slightly upwards. Pluck any very noticeable strays with tweezers. High calibre tweezers are a must, we love Shavata Slanted Tweezers (£20.50).
Fill out brows gently with a soft and light brow pencil. Pat McGrath used an upcoming launch from the Dolce and Gabbana beauty collection, so you can keep your eyes out for its release. We love the Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil (£2.99) too. The trick to this look is keeping volume throughout the whole length of the brows, not just the first half. Make sure to flesh out the arches.

To accentuate the sculpted look, use a highlighting pencil subtly just underneath the arches and just above the last half of the brow. Benefit Cosmetic’s High Brow (£15.50) is a hero product in this area.
The best thing about this look? It doesn’t require impeccable brow upkeep. You can skip that brow wax appointment (ouch!) and settle for keeping on top of the odd conspicuous stray. Gotta love a trend that makes life easier.
