Julia Louis-Dreyfus got snap happy when it came to her beauty preparations. Karen Kawahara was her makeup artist of choice, and Elizabeth Arden the brand. Check out this beauty stash…!
And we do love a lady who’s not afraid to be seen in her rollers. Julia Louis-Dreyfus undergoes her Golden Globes 2015 transformation under the professional gaze of Karen Kawahara.
Celebrity Makeup Artist Molly R. Stern was responsible for Julianna Margulies’ red carpet beauty look for the 2015 Golden Globes. She says ‘It is always such an honour to create a look with this classic beauty. For this look I wanted to Julianna to look vibrant, fresh and juicy […] I went with all rosy undertones’.
For Molly, prepping skin is key. She takes us through how she prepared Julianna’s skin below…
– To prep Julianna’s skin, I started with a rose water facial spray to invigorate her face.
– Next I gently massaged PREVAGE® Anti-Aging Daily Serum (£165) into the skin to give her complexion a natural, luminous base for the makeup.
– I finished with a light application of PREVAGE Anti-Aging Moisture Lotion Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 (£115) to keep the skin looking supple.
And her top tip for making lips look plumper is adding a little lipgloss to the centre of lips, over the main lipstick colour. For Julianna’s look she says ‘I finished off her look with Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick in Pretty Pink (£21) and added a hint of a sheer matte pink gloss at the center of her pout to give the lips a plump and succulent feel’.
In charge of the striking Leslie Mann’s look was makeup artist Jillian Dempsey. She says ‘I was inspired by Leslie’s beautiful strapless, yellow gown and decided to go with a smoky, champagne eye look and a pop of orangey-red on her lips’. To keep the lip colour even in texture she made sure to prep Leslie’s lips with Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream Intensive Lip Repair Balm (£20).
They may not have won that night (as Ms Louis-Dreyfus shows us above), but far from being losers, they scored big in the beauty stakes.
