Benefit’s San Fran Collection Goes Art Deco

April 24, 2013

Benefit Beauty has a new cosmetic collection coming out in May featuring fabulous, flapper-esque packaging. It seems as if it’s no coincidence this makeup release syncs up with the much-anticipated debut of Baz Luhrmann’s film adaptation of The Great Gatsby.

An entire era has recently reemerged, inspiring everyone from big-name clothing designers, such as Prabal Gurung SS13 and Lanvin AW13, to cosmetic creators at Benefit to pay homage to the fabulously glamorous 1920’s era

The San Francisco color collection features four new additions to the beauty line’s products. There’s the longwear powder shadow, creaseless cream shadow, ultra plush lip gloss, and hydra-smooth lip color all coming in a range of rich colors. And like we said earlier, the packaging is to die for.

Benefit says the art deco designed custom packaging is supposed to reflect the San Franciscan Golden Gate Bridge but I’m getting a Gatsby vibe for sure. Maybe it’s just my uncontrollable excitement for the film to premiere but I must say I’m almost equally enthused for this new makeup line!
