Burns Night is fast approaching, so, to help you pick the best place to grab some whisky and haggis, we’ve put together a list of some top places you can celebrate and honour the poet.

The Ceilidh Club at Hammersmith Town Hall

The Ceilidh club are turning things up a notch for Burns Night; with a bigger venue, a buffet, dancing and of course, some bagpipes. You can get up on stage and open up with a poem or sing well into the night.

The Narrowboat Pub

The Narrowboat in Islington will be serving up a five course meal with poetry entertainment and gift bags for guest. They will also be offering whisky tasting of course.

Brown’s Hotel

The annual HIX Mayfair and Brown’s Hotel collab is the perfect Burn’s Night destination. This year, Hix have partnered with restaurant manager, Markus Savage, to serve up an array of Scottish classics – from haggis and neeps, to red deer wellington with braised red cabbage, as well as the HIX interpretation on stovies – a Scottish dish of potatoes, meat, onions and pretty much anything else that might need using up. For dessert you can expect dropped scones with whisky cream and poached rhubarb.

Mac and Wild

Burns week at Mac & Wild starts early on 23rd Jan. The restaurant will be running a series of events, including a haggis making masterclass (23rd Jan), whisky and beer matching (24th Jan) and on the big night, you can get their special Burns Night menu – haggis, neeps and tatties, a venison wellington and shortbread with whisky ice cream.

Hackney Church

If you can’t celebrate on actual Burns Night, don’t worry, Burns Baby Burns have got you. They’re putting on a three-day (26th-28th Jan) extravaganza with piping, banqueting, toasting, whisky-drunking and fire-throwing. This is a night where you will have to wear your dancing shoes and a fire proof kilt.
