Bikeminded is a cycle campaign run by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, they have teamed up with Harrods to launch ‘Style the Cyclist’ competition. I was invited to eat macaroons for breakfast in the delightful Laduree tea room in Harrods to find out more about it. We had to create a stylish outfit to cycle in and make a Pinterest board, which I have been adding to, see mine here http://pinterest.com/kristabatd/bikeminded-style-the-cyclist/
Cycling doesn’t have to be all about boring old lycra cycling shorts, you can really have some fun with your outfit, so to show how creative or quirky you can be riding around London join in and get styling too. Create a winning look for two Kensington and Chelsea personalities and win some money to spend in Harrods on yourself or your beloved two wheels. We will be looking out for you, so make them colourful!
The competition opens on 18 May and runs to 27 May, will be judged by a panel of fashion experts and Sportswear General Merchandise Manager at Harrods, Stewart Mancey.
The entries will be judged on style, individuality, suitability for the personality and practicality. The two winning entries will receive £150 Harrods voucher, an amazing goodie bag and they’ll have their chosen look photographed by a renowned fashion photographer and featured in Absolutely and Harrods Magazines.
