Announced this morning via Twitter post, our previous suspicion that Katie is to be the new face of Bobbi Brown has been confirmed although thus far both Bobbi Brown and Katie have declined to comment.
Katie is the brand’s first ever celebrity face since its founding in 1991. It will certainly be interesting to see how the celebrity direction works for a brand with the philosophy that, “make-up is a way for a woman to look and feel like herself, only prettier and more confident.”
With her classic, understated style and seemingly girl-next-door appeal Katie seems to be e a perfect fit for the Bobbi Brown motto. Katie Holmes is to present the line’s Spring 2013 ready-to-wear collection next week during New York Fashion Week, where she is also showing her fashion collection Holmes & Yang. Bobbi Brown as well as Katie Holmes fans alike are sure to be watching in anticipation.
