Last year Bobbi Brown did a limited edition eyeshadow called Sequin Eyes. I had it in the brown and in a colour called Comet which was like the sky at night. The brown sequin was like a gold lurexed chocolate velvet and it seemed to enhance all eyes, day to night. I loved it. It was in a makeup bag that got stolen on a plane – yes, someone stole my bag and when I went to replace it was gone forever because it was limited edition.
This year’s Bobbi Brown Limited edition is called Luxe Eyeshadow Rich Sparkle or Metal or Lustre. It comes in a gorgeous gold miniature compact and it has that fairy dust quality. Mine is a green one in Chlorophyll which I’ve been using over a violet eye crayon for peacock party eyes that last all night and all the next day if you let them. There are some gorgeous shades – Metal Rose which is a gorgeous pink mauve shimmer, High Octane which is a vibrant pink-purple metallic or Sun Flare. It’s gold and it’s copper and it’s gorgeous.

They’re all multi-dimensional metallic eyeshadows which give eyes an instant incandescence it goes on super creamy and it can shimmer across an existing eye crayon or it can go on its own applied with a wet application to make it even more vibrant. There are three finishes in the Luxe range – Lustre, Metal and Sparkle. The Lustre is the fairy dust, the Metal is a Molton foil finish and the rich Sparkle is supercharged sparkle. Each one has super highly concentrated pigments and has a standout 3D metallic effect. You can be as subtle or as spectacular as you want.
Obviously ideal for the festive season but not defined by the festive season. These are all year long party eyes but you probably have to buy them now.
