As an East-Londoner, Book Club is my local watering hole, but aside from the drinks it never fails to disappoint – whether for a chilled weekend brunch or an olfactory adventure with their Scratch and Sniff workshops. And now, for the Olympics, they continue the frivolity by opening up the disused car park opposite and turning it into their Olympic Basecamp.
The free site features an outdoor bar, grown-up playground, kitchen plus the regulation big screens to watch the Games on.
Street Kitchen will be on hand to fill bellies, with their freshly prepared bistro menu by day and burgers by night and The Book Club will be serving up Olympic-inspired cocktails such as Starter’s Orders and the End It Like Beckham plus Mojitos and Pimms by the pint!
