Cheryl Cole has always been one of Britain’s favourite brunettes, but she’s turning her image on its head with a quick change to blonde. Her latest campaign for L’Oreal’s new Colour Ferier collection sees her take to a music video-esque stage once more with a mane of newly lightened hair.
She’s done it at just the right time too, the amount of products available to boost blonde hair’s vibrancy this season is astounding. Here is just a selection.
First of all, here’s the brand new L’Oreal Feria Extreme Ombre (£5.89) edition that was used to get Cheryl’s own shade. Its easy-to-use kit makes getting the ombre look at home as smooth-running as possible. If you’re totally taken by Cheryl’s new look, then this is the one to go for.
John Frieda’s new Sheer Blonde Brightening Oil Elixir (£9.99) is a must if you are new to blonde like Cheryl. An ombre look takes a lot of colour out of the ends of hair, which tend to be the most fragile section of hair any way. A colour change like Cheryl’s calls for a serious nourishment. This new oil works best on the lengths and ends before blowdrying, but can be applied to dry hair for a wid-wash pick-me up.
The TIGI Bedhead Dumb Blonde Tween (£24.20) gives you everything you need to boost your blonde with your shampoo and conditioner routine. The shampoo and reconstructor treatment prevent brassiness and unwanted yellowing as well as soothing with its pH balanced formula, and strengthening hair from within.
Batiste Dry Shampoo Light & Blonde (£3.99) is the perfect way to refresh blonde hair if you fancy going a day extra without washing. It contains a hint of blonde to compliment your colour and add a blast of revitalisation and shine as well as whipping away any look of greasiness. It’s also available in a mini size, so it’s a must-have for popping in your backpack this festival season.
