Not content with being part of the world’s hottest and most successful couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, are branching out from their careers as actors and U.N ambassadors to release their very first wine.
With a white expected late summer and reds early next year, the new rose will launch next month and is a product of their 1,000 acre estate, Chateau Miravel in Correns, France.
The rose, which was previously named Pink Floyd, has been simply renamed Miraval and showcases an unusual bottle shape and sleek, black label. Pitt and Jolie’s involvement, which included attending rose blending sessions and the creation of the new bottle, together with the Perrin family who own Chateau Beaucastel in the Chateauneuf-du-Pape winemaking region of the souther Rhone Valley, is highlighted on the back label which states the wine is a product of ‘Jolie-Pitt and Perrin’, which we think has a rather nice ring to it!
Disclosed through his publicist, Pitt announced, “We are intimately involved and quite enthused over the wine project with our friends the Perrin family.”
According to Bloomberg, the Perrin family bonded with the Pitt-Jolie’s over the organic estate, Provence roses and bottle styles, “Brad and Angelina are very friendly, nice people and down to earth. They’re thinking long term,” Perrin said.
