It has been announced that Burberry is set to receive the 22nd Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award, one of the highest fashion accolades that Beverley Hills awards.
Said accolade was introduced in 2003 to recognise labels and brands that have made their mark on the fashion world. If you’ve ever taken a skip along Rodeo Drive you’ll know that there are lot of big names in contention, and when you consider that previous names that have received the award include Giorgio Armani, Missoni, Mario Testino, Valentino Garavani, the one and only Tom Ford and even Princess Grace of Monaco and Salvatore Ferragamo, you get just what a big deal it is.
The award takes into account any individual that has influenced and contributed to fashion, whether they be a designer, a muse, a model, a photographer, a writer, the list goes on. Needless to say, if you thought the British Burberry had already made it big, they just got bigger.
The award could not be more timely, with the brand’s brand new Rodeo Drive flagship store opening this November.
