Yes, we have an ever-growing pool of amazing Brit fashion design talent here in the UK, but that doesn’t (and probably won’t ever) stop us from peeking intermittently across the channel at our Parisian counterparts for never-done but always-chic styling.
And yet, despite being the home of haute couture and some of our favourite labels (A.P.C, Maje, Equipment) it seems that the French are not quite as impervious to our own brand of fashion-cool as we may have thought. At least not according to Burberry, who today launch ‘London Mania’ into Paris’ Printemps department store as part of the house’s ‘Art of the Trench‘ project.
The pop up space will feature a limited edition and exclusive Burberry Loves Printemps collection of denim, leather jackets and studded accessories, whilst the Art of the Trench project will be capturing, and showcasing, the perfect insouciance of Burberry’s iconic trench on 50 French influencers from the fashion, art, cinema and music worlds around Paris.
London Mania and the Burberry Loves Printemps collection launches today in Printemps, Boulevard Haussmann, until October 22.
