This year the fragrance houses really are spoiling us, first we’re told that Beckham will be the first male face of Chanel’s No. 5 fragrance and now the uber hot actor Alexander Skarsgard has been signed as the face of Calvin Klein‘s brand new men’s cologne, Encounter.
The “True Blood” actor will be sinking his teeth into a worldwide advertising campaign, in both print and television adverts, alongside current Calvin Klein face (and body) Lara Stone. The Calvin Klein Encounter campaign tells the story of unresolved tension and desire and involves a dark and mysteriously modern take on classic film noir – hoping to mirror the at once fresh, sensual and warm notes of the fragrance.
Of his very first endorsement deal, where Skarsgard worked with photographer Steven Klein and creative director Fabien Baron, he told WWD, “Their idea for their concept was very intriguing to me—it was almost like a short film, and very film noir. It felt interesting to me.”
Calvin Klein Encounter debuts in September.
