Canyon Ranch is somewhere I think we should all get to go to, I do strongly believe a visit here will add years to your life, put it on your Bucket List. I’ve already decided I have to take my Mum here, I want her to benefit from all the health experts and brilliant advice they have available there. As well as enjoying the luxury accommodation, with that ocean view and deliciously healthy restaurants.
Canyon Ranch has a history and reputation as the one of the best spa destinations since its founders Enid and Mel Zuckerman had the idea in 1979. The aim at Canyon Ranch is to leave you with healthy habits for life, with practises from the holistic to full blown medical care and advice and for all ages.
All accommodation are suites at Canyon Ranch, they are light and spacious with an ocean view, the one bedroom suites are really comfortable with just the right balance of luxury and contemporary style. With one of the best bathrooms I’ve ever seen in a hotel, finally an interior designer who understands how to light so you can out your m-up on.
Canyon Ranch Hotel & Spa serves local and seasonal food; including including Avocado Tartare, Seared Scallops with Mango Coconut Glaze and the most delicious baked Artichoke chips, baked not fried! The menus provide nutritional information, from calories to fat grams, so you can make informed choices about what you are eating. All the food we ate was delicious, with no compromise on taste, I felt satisfied and healthy whenever I left the table. You will be amazed at how low calories some of the well thought out meals were. I still make the sweet potato pancakes I had one breakfast regularly, they are delicious!
It’s not so strict either, you will find cocktails on the menu and a favourite with most guests is the Purple Pillow, made with lavender vodka, blueberries and lime, this will send you into a lovely slumber. Remember you’re not in South Beach, a cocktail and hop up to your room for a read and a relax. A trip to Canyon Reach is going to rejuvenate you like no other spa break, I really didn’t want to leave.
We were told, “Chef Arias’ drive and passion for showcasing healthy food to its fullest potential – and his 18 years of experience at locally acclaimed restaurants and luxury resorts – helps make dining at Canyon Ranch Hotel & Spa a guilt-free sensory experience that’s truly second to none.” We couldn’t agree more.
There are four pools, an enormous gym and a class schedule that will take you a month to get through, I really do just want to live there. Here’s the thing, you can, condos are for sale on the property, I know what I am saving up for!
