Yes, we thought they’d be relegated to the 80s (and you’re mad aunt) too, but thanks to the Vivienne Westwood’s SS13 show it seems the fabric-covered hair tie is making something of a comeback. Don’t balk just yet! Because if anyone can get you reconsidering the one-time fashion/beauty statement, it’s model du jour Cara Delevingne.
Along with fellow beauties, Clara Paget and Suki Waterhouse, Cara has been signed up by London-based accessory brand MCS (My Crazy Scrunchie) created by Eu Simo Grijalbo and Laura Fraser, to star in a short wild west campaign film. Directed and filmed by Mathew Wilkinson, the film shows the threesome, who play cowgirls The Kid, Senorita Fuego and Hot Sauce, in a scrunchy-shoot out.
We absolutely love, and will be toting our own scrunchies come next Spring. . . (we promise!)
