Cara Delevingne is set to be the new face of Topshop. I mean, yes, it’s a surprise to learn that this hasn’t come about already, maybe at an earlier point in her modelling career, but all the same, it’s big news.
She’ll start shooting the campaign later in the summer, ready for the high street brand’s AW14 collections. She will be the first model to carry a whole Topshop campaign by herself. Tattoo pal Jourdan Dunn has, but she had Rosie Tapner alongside her. Well if anyone can do it, Cara can.
She’s walked in their London Fashion Week shows for the past few seasons, so her poster girl status was sort of inevitable.
She will add the iconic Brit label to her heritage high CV, the British likes of Mulberry and Burberry already placed highly on there.
We can’t wait to see the shots, we can’t wait to see the beauty looks, and we can’t wait to see the clothes. It seems that Topshop has hit on a winner with its latest savvy signing.
