As previously reported, September is looking really rather hectic for Carine Roitfeld. Not only will there a be a frenzy of fashion-week related appointments and shows to attend, and of course (finally) the editor’s fashion bible CR launches, but aso, in a slight digression from pure fashion, Carine’s collaboration with MAC Cosmetics will go on counter.
As anticipated, the make up line’s focus is on the quintessential smoky eye – with the only deviation from black (mascara, eyeliner and kohl) being an array of smoky grey, earthy brown, creamy khaki, hazy plum and navy shades featuring in the Face Kits. The sole lipstick in the range is a creamy sheer nude, whilst the only real splash of colour comes in the form of the blood red nail varnish, Underfire Red. Very French, Very Roitfeld!
But the highlight, and surprise, of the range are surely the star stencils, perfect for creating teeny tiny starry beauty marks (using the black kohl).
