The dress code stated “black tie, smokey eye” and that’s exactly what the guests, whether male or female indulged Carine Roitfled with as she hosted a Paris Fashion Week Party to celebrate her collaboration with MAC Cosmetics. Held at the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, the multi-talented editor enlisted Paloma Faith to entertain her kohl-ed-up guests who proved just how popular Carine remains since leaving Vogue Paris.
From designers Haider Ackermann, Karl Lagerfeld, Valentino, Alexander Wang, Azzedine Alaïa, Riccardo Tisci and Nicolas Ghesquière to models, Joan Smalls, Poppy Delevingne, Karlie Kloss and stylists Anna Dello Russo and Rachel Zoe. The party was packed with the most famous and fabulous names in fashion.
And whilst the majority of the guests adhered to the smokey eyed dress code – it was after all a beauty launch party – Kanye West, who has been papped looking undeniably grumpy during the Paris shows, was definitely going au-naturale, as was Karl Lagerfeld, who obviously never departs from his standard styling.
Model of the moment Cara Delevingne looked smoking hot as per usual dressed in Pucci, as did Leigh Lezark in a Tom Ford creation and Karlie Kloss wearing Alex Wang. Giovanna Battaglia and Gaia Repossi both rocked extreme looks with Gaia donning a sports luxe pair of silk shorts and white cape and Giovanna in a black cape, Black Swan style make up and a long black dress. Rachel Zoe and husband Rodger Berman both strictly adhered to the dress code with Berman adding a lick of black liner for extra impact.
