Coachella, the mammoth music festival situated in Indio, California, kicked off this weekend, bringing to the fashion scene an influx of feathers, face paint and fringing.
The four-day festival features some of the biggest names in the music industry, so it is no wonder it draws a large crowd of celebrities. Actors, singers, artists and icons gathered in the California Desert to enjoy the sunny weather and grade-A tunes, as well as to flaunt their boho-chic styles.
Prints ranging from paisley to leopard proved most popular for festival-goers. Actresses Kate Bosworth and Emma Watson both donned tiger stripes at the Mulberry pool party, while Dree Hemingway spiced things up in a Dolce & Gabbana chili pepper print crop top and skirt.
Festival essentials like combat boots, fringe and fedoras were also on display. Models Kasia Strauss and Hanne Gaby Odiele embraced the fringe trend while actress Emma Roberts mingled with boyfriend and Glee star Chord Overstreet in an all-black ensemble of lace and paisley.
Others missed the mark on casual festival style. Pop star Ke$ha donned an ill-fitting getup while Katy Perry exposed all in a see-through floral gown paired with black undergarments. Celebrity Paris Hilton also made an appearance, trying a bit too hard in a bandeau bikini top, floral headband, tacky rainbow-hued hair extensions and a striped maxi-skirt.
