We love a Uniqlo collaboration (she says whilst cosied up in an Orla Kiely printed heat tech!) so news that Celia Birtwell has designson the Japanese brand for spring is most welcome.
Joining Brit institutions such as Lulu Guinness and Laura Ashley, Birtwell is the latest fashion designer to impart her signature bright, graphic prints to the multiple colourways and sleek design that Uniqlo is renowned for. Her ability “to combine the traditional sensitivity toward prints with a contemporary modern and unique twist” is what sold the pairing.
The capsule collection, which is set to launch late March, will see the designer delve into her print archives – the very same 60s and 70s prints that she is famed for.
